For many people the best way to get through this time of bad economy is to get their teachers certification. There are many ways in which people are going about this. Some people are starting out going for their teacher's certification. Others are staying longer or even going back to school for it.
There are many people going to school to pursue a degree in education and get their teachers certification. It has always been a popular path for incoming students to take. Students starting off wanting to teach often have personal reasons as to why they want to be a teacher. Many times it was because they were so inspired by their teachers when they were growing up. Others may be getting their teachers certification because they want to help with specific students. Many people know someone or have some relation to a person with autism. A person may want to be teacher so that they can teach students with autism.
People are not just entering college with teacher's certification in mind. People are also staying in school longer so that they can get their teachers certification. With the economy the way it is, many people are choosing to stay longer in school rather than to fight in the job market. Everyday on the news, people talk about how job losses are at an all time high. This can be a great reason for people to stay in school and bolster their resumes. Also, it can be a great way to diversify. A person with a degree in mathematics and education versus a person with a degree in mathematics may get a job because an education degree implies that he or she will be able to work better with others.
People are also going back to school for their teachers certification. Many people have recently lost their jobs. An engineer, who is out of work, may decide that teaching algebra in a middle school would be a better career path. Many schools are looking for math and science teachers. In a job market that is constantly getting smaller, teaching is still a viable option. Going back to school is a great way to build your resume and make yourself a more desirable employee. Also for people that have been laid off and are on unemployment, getting scholarships or even loans for school may be a better option. Sometimes, the plan of going back to school can even help a person qualify unemployment, because you are actively trying to make yourself better for hiring.
